If you are on parole or inmate supervision with the Division of Adult Parole, Community Corrections and Youthful Offender System, this site will offer some useful information and links to resources available while you are under supervision. 

C-WISE

C-WISE is the system that tracks your supervision electronically. This is also a 24 hour call center for you to check in and reach your community parole officer. The number for C-WISE is 1-800-426-9143. You should always call this number to reach your parole officer and not the general office number of the parole office you are assigned to. Disponibles operadores espanoles. 

Parolees and inmates pay a $10.00 monthly supervision fee to C-WISE. You will be provided pre-addressed envelopes by your community parole officer for you to send your money order directly to C-WISE. 

Restitution
 
It is the policy of the Department of Corrections (DOC), Adult Parole, Community Corrections, and Youthful Offender System (APCCYOS) to make all reasonable efforts to collect restitution from offenders in community based programs, per CRS 16-18.5-106 and CRS 17-2-201(5)(c). Failure to pay towards your restitution is a parole violation.

What to Expect while on Parole or Inmate Supervision
 
Parole/Inmate Supervision is a condition of release from prison, made by members of the parole board. Common conditions of parole supervision are outlined below; however, additional conditions may be included upon review and recommendation by the board: 
  1. Release: Upon release from the institution, parolee shall go directly to designated parole office 
  2. Residence: Parolee shall establish a residence of record and shall reside at such residence in fact and on record; shall remain at residence of record each night unless otherwise authorized by the parole officer; parolee shall not change residence of record without the consent of the parole officer; and shall not leave the area paroled to without permission of the parole officer
  3. Conduct: Parolee shall obey all State/Federal laws and Municipal ordinances. Parolee shall follow the directives of the parole officer at all times.
  4. Report: Parolee shall make written and in person reports as directed to the parole officer and shall permit visits to his/her place of residence as required by the parole officer/ Parolee shall submit urinalysis or other tests for narcotics or chemical agents upon the request of the parole officer, and is required to pay for all tests.
  5. Weapons: Parolee shall not own, possess, nor have under his control or his custody, firearms or other deadly weapons.
  6. Association: Parolee shall not associate with any person with a criminal record without the permission of the parole officer. 
  7. Employment: Parolee shall seek and obtain employment, or shall participate in a full time educational or vocational program, unless waived by the parole officer.
  8. Alcohol/Drugs: Parolee shall not abuse alcoholic beverages, or possess and/or use illegal drugs.
  9. Child Support: Parolee shall comply with any court or administrative order to pay child support 

The Parole Agreement is issued prior to your release.  Additional parole directives will be issued by the community parole officer during your initial meeting.  

Resources
 
Your community parole officer will be able to assist you with various resources you may need while transitioning to the community. In addition, you may be referred to a community re-entry specialist. Community re-entry specialists offer help with job searches, bus tokens, ID’s, benefits planning, housing assistance, mental health and/or substance abuse treatment referrals, personal hygiene backpacks, and referrals to community agencies offering various support services. Discuss any medical, substance abuse or mental health needs with your community parole officer. He/she will refer you to the appropriate treatment provider and will provide you with their location. Your community parole officer will also direct you to any alcohol/drug testing location
 
Sponsors/Loved Ones
 
If you are the sponsor for someone under parole or inmate supervision, you will be contacted by a community parole officer prior to the offender’s release into the community and there will be a visit to your residence in order to ensure that it is an appropriate environment for the offender. The investigating officer will be conducting an investigation report to include a criminal history report on all individuals residing in the residence. The investigating officer will also review a “Sponsor Advisement” form with you to make sure that you understand and agree to the terms and conditions of having the offender reside with you. This will include the following:
 
  1. Allowing community parole officers to visit and search your residence at any time
  2. Not possessing a firearm, ammunition, or other deadly weapon in the residence
  3. Not possessing any illegal substances in the residence
  4. Allow the use and placement of any required electronic monitoring equipment in the residence
  5. If the offender has a criminal history that includes a sex offense or an offense against children, he/she will not have any contact with minors (under 18 years of age) without written permission from the community parole officer.
